So last weeks class was pretty intense for me! Trying to figure out the "eleven squares" organization, purpose, and strategies for word problem difficulty was a little bit overwhelming. I really liked the intensity though, it makes learning more purposeful. Now that we have figured it out and have it in writing on a worksheet it seems so simple. I love moments in education where learning takes center stage!
More thoughts to come...........
Again, the frustration is important, particularly as a teacher. If someone were to just give up on a task as simple as 11 word problems, what does that say about when the challenge is much greater?
